My 5-year-old female dog's heat cycle is delayed. Is this normal?

Pet's info: Dog | English Cocker Spaniel | Female | spayed | 5 years and 4 months old

Naughty is 5 years old English crooked spaniel female.1st March was her menstrual cycle date n as we got male for her n we r waiting for her menstrual cycle so that she gets babies. But today is 3rd April n almost 1 month 3 days she did not get her menstrual cycle. I am very worried kindly help me.

Dogs go into heat around every six months, but it's not set in stone. Give Naughty some more time, but if she hasn't gone into heat in another few weeks, have her seen by a vet.

As an aside, I would make this her last litter. Dogs who are around six and older should never be bred. I would have her spayed after she weans this litter. Best of luck.
