My dog eats everything, coughing, gagging, puking white foam.

It sounds like Maximus may have a respiratory infection such as kennel cough, which often causes coughing and gagging without anything coming up. Or, he could be feeling nauseous and trying to vomit - if his stomach is empty, sometimes this gagging can be non-productive. If he is acting normal otherwise and this problem just started today, you can try withholding food for the rest of the day and offering a small amount of plain boiled chicken and rice this evening to help settle his stomach. If this doesn't help, or if he continues to have repeated episodes of coughing or gagging throughout the day, then I would recommend having him examined by a vet - he/she can determine whether Maximus has a respiratory infection or a stomach problem and get him started on appropriate medication to treat it.

Poor Max! I agree that this sounds as if he has something either lodged in his mouth (typically the roof of the mouth) or further down his respiratory tract. Open his mouth carefully and look to see if you can visualize anything there first. If you don't see anything and he continues this behavior for more than an hour or so, then it's time to get him examined by your local vet. If he continues to comit uncontrollably (once or more an hour), then he needs to go to the ER vet right away! At that point, radiographs taken of his upper airway would be the ideal diagnostic test to finding out what is truly going on there, and what specific treatment or intervention is needed to help poor Max out and get him some relief right away.

Kennel cough is self limiting and usually goes away by itself within a few weeks and often does not need treatment. Should your dog have a fever or the coughing/gagging get worse or should your dog get lethargic, you need to take her to your veterinarian for an exam. Should your dog indeed vomit, you can try the following: I would fast her for 24 hours and then put her on bland food for two days, such as boiled white rice and boiled white boneless chicken meat, fed in small quantities over several feeds and then transition back to regular food slowly over a few days. If this does not clear up the vomiting, or if the vomiting increases, or if your dog gets lethargic, she needs to see a veterinarian for an exam as there may be something more serious such as an infection going on.

Heart failure, respiratory infections, collapsing trachea, allergies, etc. Can cause coughing. It best to have a veterinarian examine Aurora to rule out different causes. Diarrhea may be due to intestinal parasites, a diet change, or stress. Monitor him closely over the weekend. If he stops eating, acts lethargic, the cough progresses, or he develops a fever (99.5 - 102.5 F is normal in dogs), then take him to an emergency vet right away.

Poor Mac! It's good that his poop is normal. Lethargy is a general symptom of many illness, such as systemic disease, GI disease, infection, inflammation or injury. I would keep an eye on him for now. If he continues to act lethargic over the weekend, or he starts vomiting, having diarrhea, and stops eating or drinking, then I would take him into a vet.
