Updated on September 23rd, 2025

hi! My poor dog has a external fixator in her back left leg at the moment and she has chewed off the bandages covering the nuts and bolts on it, is there anything we should do?

Poor Dolores! Ideally you should put a buster collar on her to avoid any further chewing and keep the fixator away from dirt. I would recommend then to take her to your veterinarian as soon as you can to rebandage the ex fix appropriately.
