My dog chewed a chemical nozzle gel container. Will he be okay?

Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! From what I can find out about these Rapid Relief gel packs is that the contents are not to be ingested but are non-toxic. If ingested by humans or dogs there is generally no concern excepts maybe some tummy upset. It doesn't contain anti-freeze. I would confirm though with poison control to be 100% sure. Oh that was naughty of Nymeria! Given that she didn't break the bottle, then she will likely be ok. Bleach is an irritant, and you can check her mouth to see if there are any sores or redness in her mouth. Rinse her mouth out with cold water, but if you don't see any redness or sores in her mouth, she likely didn't ingest any bleach and she should be fine :-)

This is unlikely to cause a problem. She may make have some drooling, bu otherwise it shouldn’t be an issue. If she has a reaction to the medication for some reason, she may have some vomiting or develop hives or facial swelling. If these things occur, take her in, but it’s reasonable to just keep an eye on her at home. If she swallowed the tube or big pieces of the tube, an intestinal obstruction is possible (though not necessarily likely). In small quantities, most products like shampoos and conditioners are not going to be extremely toxic to dogs / cats, aside from potentially causing some mild to moderate gastrointestinal upset. There types of ingredients you have listed are complex chemicals that the majority of veterinarians are not going to be familiar with specifically. If want a full on and more guaranteed answers as to the toxicity of this product, I would recommend contacting pet poison control at (855) 764-7661. This helpline as vets and toxicologists on staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to offer assistance to pet owners and veterinarians in need. However, my opinion is that as long as we are only talking about a few licks or a few ounces at most, you are not likely to see any major problems arise. If you do begin to note any evidence of non stop vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, or coughing, report to your vet right away. Lastly, do not attempt to make Sirius vomit. Generallly, the rule is when a chemical product like a conditioner is consumed, causing vomiting will cause more damage than good. Hope this makes sense.

For that reason, Chigger may be just fine. I would recommend that you watch him closely and if he does show symptoms such as decreased appetite, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea and/or discomfort have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Ink in a pen is generally non-toxic, and she would have needed to consume a lot of it for medical attention to be required. The amount of ink contained in this pen is unlikely to cause her any problems, and if she didn't eat any part of the pen itself, she should be fine. I hope this helps!
