My 4yr old German Shepherd is in perfect health but last night I discovered a cauliflower colored thing hanging from his gums in front of his upper canine tooth. I didn't see anything online that looks like this. What could it be?

Thank you for including the picture - it is very helpful. I can not make a diagnosis over the internet but I am suspicious of something called canine viral papilloma. I would encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian soon to make sure it is nothing more concerning. Viral papillomas usually resolve on their own within a few weeks. However, some puppies with weak immune systems may develop a severe form, although that is very rare. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.
