Would a break in front right elbow require amputation, or will a splint, cast, or hobble possibly work?

Oh goodness. That looks like a bad break. Was there a big trauma? Most fractures of the humerus require surgical stabilization. Splints and casts usually just act as a fulcrum and don't really help. Amputation isn't wrong, but surgical stabilization would be my first choice. I hope this was helpful!
