My Shih Tzu's breath smells like old milk. Is it his crooked teeth?

This can cause their breath to smell different, so it's possible that this is what you're noticing. If you're concerned, I would recommend taking Trappy to the vet for an exam when you're able to. Actually bad breath in dogs is likely related to dental problems. If the dental cleaning was more than 4-6 months ago, it's possible she needs another cleaning. Some small dogs accumulate tartar at alarming rates and need very frequent dental cleanings to keep everything healthy in there.
