My boxer has bloody diarrhea but acts normal. Should I be worried?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Female | spayed | 4 years and 10 months old | 55 lbs

My boxer has had diarrhea for the past couple days and then I noticed today that blood has been dripping from her anus. She is still acting like nothing is wrong and has been eating just fine. Should I be worried?

It sounds as Millie is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an antibiotic course and a special food for a few days in order to get better.
