My dog is bleeding and not eating after mating. What should I do?

You pup was obviously injured by the older dog, you need to take him to the vet urgently in order to get him checked and treated, you will need to completely separate the two and you should seriously consider having your older dog neutered as well.

I'm sorry to hear Maggie is vomiting. That is on the higher end of the dose range that dogs can tolerate for aspirin, and one of the known side effects to it can be GI upsets and ulcers. Her vomiting could also be unrelated to the aspirin and due to another underlying issue. I would recommend she be evaluated by her regular veterinarian to determine the underlying cause for her vomiting, have any necessary testing done (X-rays) and get started on any treatment (anti-nausea medication, antacid, bland diet, GI protectant) that may be needed. Aspirin can cause bleeding in dogs, and I would recommend stopping it immediately and having Zaylynne examined by a vet. Her chronic sneezing may be caused by abnormalities or a polyp in the nose or upper throat area. The vet may need to sedate her or refer her to a specialist to see what is going on to cause the sneezing and now bleeding. The leg may or may not be related, but an exam and x-rays would be the first part at working up the limping.

The blood coukd be from a UTI or even bladder stones. It should not be related to the tablet she ate but since I don’t know all its ingredients it is difficult for me to say for sure. I suggest you get her back to the vet for a follow-up and a urine test.

I am very concerned that Willow may have pyometra (an infection in her uterus). This type of infection can be life-threatening and typically requires surgery to remove the uterus which is the source of the infection. I would recommend taking her to your vet right away so she can be evaluated for this disease.

Princess likely is suffering from a urinary tract infection or possibly bladder stones, or other condition that causes bleeding of the urinary tract. This may be very painful. You will need to take Princess to a veterinarian for an exam and urinalysis. Your vet may also want to take radiographs to rule out bladderstones. She will need prescription antibiotics, pain medicine, and other treatment depending on the diagnosis. Please check her gums, and should they be white or very pale in colour, she will need to be seen by a vet right away.

With these symptoms I worry that your dog may have a pyometra instead of being pregnant. Pyometras typically develop around 3-6 weeks after they go into heat and present as bloody discharge, lethargy, abdominal swelling, etc. I would recommend that she is seen by a veterinarian who can perform an ultrasound to make sure she isn't suffering from an infection.
