Pets can get spots for many reasons including, normal-nonpathogenic pigmentation, infections and endocrine disease. A photo may help to give you the best advice. If you look at it closely, you should be able to see legs if it is a tick. I cannot tell because when I enlarge the photo it gets too blurry. The other options as to what it could be is a cyst or a tumor. I really think you need to have him to your vet for an exam. It is better to be safe than sorry. I would suggest not squeeze them, as it could create inflammation and eventually it could get infected. Monitor it and keep the area clean for the next 3-4 days.

Pictures can be deceiving but the areas do not appear raised or thickened from inflammation, if they are indeed as flat and smooth as the surrounding skin i would not be concerned but would monitor for any further increase in size or number, regular photos can help to monitor. sk your vet to check sat your next wellness or vaccine appointment but depigmented spots are quite common and innocent

These are comedones (black heads) and usually due to an underlying metabolic disease or a skin infection possibly caused by mites. Your veterinarian will be able to perform blood work as well as a skin scrape and cytology to check for any of these diseases.

It really comes down to figuring out what is causing his allergies so that they can be treated or the specific allergen avoided. A secondary infection is likely and also needs to be addressed. There are many things that can cause allergies though in most cases they can be broken down into 3 big categories: flea, food and environmental allergies. Allergies are usually worked up in a stepwise fashion starting with flea allergies as this is the easiest and cheapest to take care of. If not on a flea preventative, then it would be a good idea to get started on one. If already on one then it would be a good idea to change to something else (there are many new products out in the market). If not improved in 1-3 months then it is time to move on and check for food allergies by switching to a novel diet (new protein and new carbohydrate). If that does not seem to be the issue then you are left out having to check for environmental allergies which require blood and/or skin tests. Allergies can be very frustrating to deal with at first but so rewarding at the end when we are able to treat them effectively!
