My Chihuahua was bitten by a Pitbull, seems fine. Should I see a vet?

You need to get that evaluated by a vet asap. Dog bites frequently become infected, and Chance needs to be examined to make sure there aren't any internal injuries from the bite. Please take him into a vet first thing in the morning. Best of luck.

I am sorry to hear about Chichi. Sometimes bruising is not immediately obvious. If Chichi is acting lethargic, having trouble breathing, is painful, is not eating or having vomiting, then an exam at the vet would be recommended. If she seems completely fine, I would check her gums to ensure they are pink and check her regularly the next few days for new bruises, pale gums, or the appearance of pinpoint red spots on her gums or skin which can be a sign of a bleeding disorder. If anything like this develops she should see the vet as well.

Have Luna seen by a vet now. There could be internal injures from being bit by the pitbull, and only a vet can diagnose that. In addition, dog bites frequently become infected, and oral antibiotics are needed to prevent an infection. It's very important though to have her seen by a vet right away to make sure she doesn't have internal injuries, so that is what I think you should do. Take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. He may just be sore, but internal injuries are always a possible concern after a dog fight, even if there were no outward marks. Your veterinarian can examine him to see if anything is seriously wrong, and may recommend x-rays or other testing if needed.

Appropriate wound care, pain relief medication and systemic antibiotic must be provided for this type of wound. The wound must be flushed and disinfected and possibly stitched up if required. I would strongly recommend an immediate check up at your local veterinarian.

The main damage is under the skin, the extend of trauma cannot be appropriated by only looking at the punctures. What's is more bite wounds are painful and almost always get infected. Please, take Buddy to your local vets as soon as possible as he may be in serious trouble.

If Ellie landed on her feet and is walking and acting fine, then it would be ok to monitor for now and bring her to the veterinarian if you notice any lameness or any abnormalities like loss of appetite or something like that.
