My 3 year old maltipoo bites her nails quite often and I usually find one laying around the next day. When I check she doesn’t seem to be in any pain and I can never figure out where the nail came from. Is she just grooming herself? I take her to the groomer every 6-8 weeks. Should I take her more often?

I suggest you have your vet check her out if she is only biting that one nail. There may be an issue that you cannot see going on with it. If your vet can rule out a medical issue with the nail they can help you determine if this is a serious issue or she is just doing this from habit. Always rule out an underlying medical condition before assuming it is behavioral.
