My dog has bad breath, licking, shaking. Is she in mouth pain?

It definitely appears that something is causing an infection in the mouth. Diseased teeth could be the cause, but could also be due to a laceration in the mouth, or a foreign object stuck in her mouth. The drooling is likely due to the mouth problem, but the shaking is a bit worrying. This could indicate pain, but in worse cases could indicate shock. Blood work to assess major organ function should be done (or repeated for comparison). A urinalysis will complete the picture and can further assess kidney function. Periodontal disease may be responsible for the bad breath and ulcers, but kidney disease is also a possibility to be considered. A complete dental cleaning is recommended.

The vet will remove all tartar, and also clean under the gingiva wich will also remove bacteria which are causing infection and bad breath. He will also remove all rotten and infected teeth.
