Dog attacked, no visible wounds, screams when touched. What to do?

What you are describing is a combination of weakness, and pain, along with some underlying disease. The bleeding can be due to a severe gastritis that is causing the lining of his gut to slough out (HGE or Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis), a ruptured tumor, rat bait toxicity, or other causes. I strongly recommend you have Taz seen by a vet right away. Best of luck with Taz.

He could absolutely have injuries that you cannot see, either to his muscle or spine/neck. If he is moving slower, he may have neck pain that hurts him when he moves. I recommend having him evaluated by a veterinarian at their next available appointment, so he/she can perform a physical exam and localize any pain. Your vet can prescribe pain/anti-inflammatory medications that help your pet be more comfortable. If you cannot get him to the vet, I recommend keeping him rested (ie restricted to a crate) so he cannot hurt himself further. I hope this is helpful!

Oh no, poor Jax! Yes, I would definitely take him into see a vet for this. He could have internal injuries from the fight, and those wounds needs to be cleaned, possibly stitched, and he needs antibiotics. He also needs pain medication, and no there are no OTC ones you can give hi. Many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. I cannot recommend giving him NSAIDs because I can't see him in person and say they are safe to give to him. Please take him into a vet hospital. Best of luck, and I hope he feels better soon!

Poor Zeus! If he is that painful even with home treatment I would bring him into your vet now. It is possible there is an injury that requires stronger treatment or care such as a sprain, pinched nerve, muscle sprain, broken bone, etc, so a vet visit would be best to figure out the cause and help Zeus feel better. Until you can get to your vet, keeping him on kennel rest and on leashed potty breaks only can help minimize any further jostling or pain.

I would take him to your veterinarian asap as pain relief medication are required and make sure there are no penetrating wounds (sometimes they can be quite subtle). Other injuries a part from muscles and soft tissue ones need to be diagnosed or ruled out. Oh no, poor Zangus! It could be that he injured himself causing him to yelp in pain. Given that tomorrow is Friday and I'm not sure if your vet is open on Saturday, I would rest him tonight and take him into the vet tomorrow for an exam. The vet can do a physical exam, lameness exam, and possibly x-rays to diagnose what is causing him pain so he can be treated. If he isn't acting this way in the morning, then I would monitor him for the next couple of days; should he appear painful again, then take him into the vet. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. The vet can prescribe Zangus pain medications as needed.

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I am sorry that Beau isn't feeling well. Crying intermittently with no external injuries can be caused by a number of factors. If he is reluctant to walk or limping, then either a soft tissue injury in a joint/fracture/ or torn ligament is possible, however this you would expect to see some limping. Puppies can also get 'growing pains' and conditions of their joints, which affect all of their joints equally, so they are just reluctant to move. This can be incredibly painful and requires strong pain medication. The other common cause of crying out can be gastric pain. This can be caused by Beau getting into something he shouldn't have (bones, garbage, raw food, socks, underwear, etc) and his abdomen being very sorry. Usually with this you will see a reluctance to eat, possibly vomiting/diarrhea, and sometimes pain when you push on his abdomen. If this is the case I strongly suggest to stop the Deramaxx (hard on the gut, especially so young), and to have him re-checked by your vet and x-rays performed. An ultrasound may also be needed to make sure he doesn't have a peritonitis (infection in his abdominal cavity). He could also have a gastritis from worms, so making sure he is up to date on his worming is needed. A fever can also cause animals to feel unwell, so a full physical exam including his temperature is important. I would strongly suggest a re-visit with your vet, and they will likely need to do more tests, like an x-ray as mentioned, or if no answer is found there, or if Beau has a fever some bloodwork may be needed.
