My large dog ate other dog's Tramadol, Proin, Truprofin. Is he okay?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

My dog Jack (approx 4 yrs old) ate my dog Jane's (approx 12 yrs old) morning pill dose of Tramadol, Proin and Truprofin. Both dogs are German shepherds, approx 95 lbs each.

Since they are both the same size there is no concern for toxicity here. Just monitor Jack for any GI upset, otherwise he should be fine. The medication should be out of his system after 12-24 hrs. Thanks for visiting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Take care.
