My dog ate lasagna. Should I be worried? Is it safe for dogs?

I smiled when reading this because it's so like a lab to eat half a lasagna! One of my concerns about it is if there are any onions or garlic in the homemade sauce, both of which are toxic to dogs. If there was enough of either, that could cause anemia in Benjamin, signs of which include lethargy, exercise intolerance, decreased appetite, and pale gums. The other concern is the fattiness of the dish. Too much fat causes pancreatitis in dogs. Signs of that include vomiting, abdominal pain, vomiting undigested food, anorexia, hunched back, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and lethargy. If you see any of those signs, take him into a vet immediately. I hope this helps!

The noodles will be fine, but if the spaghetti sauce contained onions and garlic, I would monitor Chi-Chi for now. Garlic and onions are toxic to dogs, but if it's a small amount, she should be ok. That was naughty of her. No she should be just fine. She may have just a mild stomach upset if anything. A bland diet of boiled plain chicken and rice or cottage cheese for a few days can be given if needed then slowly transition her back to her normal diet. Best wishes and take care of Ms. Roxy.

I do not think this will be a problem. Dogs have many mucus glands in their throat and esophagus, so that the pasta will be well lubricated when it gets into the stomach and there will be no harm. Watch for glittery poop ;-) . You should give her water as well as food. She will be fine.

He may have an upset stomach but I don't see any ingredients that are toxic. As long as he feels okay, I'd just keep an eye on him, but if he gets worse, becomes lethargic, refuses food, I recommend getting him to the vet as soon as possible.

Hi there. There wouldn't be enough garlic on a couple of handfuls of chips to cause any toxicity issues, and Parmesan and peas are not toxic to dogs - so she should be just fine :) I would monitor her for the next few hours to be safe, and make sure she has access to plenty of fresh water since the chips were probably salty. She may have some mild GI upset if she isn't used to eating human food, but otherwise I would not expect any significant problems.
