My pug ate Haribo gummy candy. Should I worry and what should I do?

These are just made of lots of corn syrup which can cause him some gastrointestinal signs such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and/or inappetence. If the lollipop had some sort of gum or filling, it can cause an obstruction in her intestines. If she also ate the stick, that may cause problems such as a perforation, especially if the stick was plastic. The sugar content may make Hazel slightly hyper or shaky as well. I recommend bringing her to the vet if you are worried, as any of the conditions above are easier to treat the earlier they are diagnosed. I don't think this will cause him any harm. Worse that could happen is he may end up with some diarrhea. If that does occur usually it is self-limiting meaning it will go away on it's own in a day or two. Hope this helps. Best wishes!
