My dog ate cake and vomited. Is it chocolate poisoning or pancreatitis?

My maltese ate a piece of cake, and she vomited immediately please tell me is she poisoned?

It sounds like Aya was a naughty dog! My only concern was if it was chocolate cake. If she vomited up most of it, then it might not be a big problem. However, if there was a lot of chocolate, she should be taken to a veterinarian. If there was no chocolate she may have vomited simply from eating a whole piece of cake when she is just a tiny little thing. Dogs can also vomit from eating rich fatty human foods and causing pancreatitis. If the vomiting continues, I would recommend she be seen. I hope it wasn’t a piece of cake you wanted to eat, and that Aya stays out of trouble.
