My dog ate banana bread and is drooling. Is he okay? What to do?

I am sorry to hear about your concern for Baburoa. Bananas are not toxic so he just may experience some gastrointestinal upset such as diarrhea or constipation, and in rare cases vomiting. The drooling indicates nausea. I can give you a home remedy for him to see if that helps. Withhold food tonight, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he refuses to eat the bland diet, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. I don't see any ingredients that are toxic, but the sugar can cause some GI upset. If you see vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or a loss of appetite, have them seen by a vet. I worry about the bread itself being potentially high in sugar or fat. This can cause significant gastrointestinal upset or even pancreatitis. Signs of chocolate toxicity are typically agitation, muscle tremors and vomiting/diarrhea. I would contact your veterinarian when they open, seeing as they know Cassidy's full medical history.
