No this does not look at all like Alabama rot at this point. Alabama rot starts affecting the kidneys within a very short time, watch for signs such as excessive drinking and urination, lack of appetite and lethargy. if you see any of those symptoms, take him to the vet to have a blood test done.

The symptoms you are describing could be consistent with a condition called hyperadrenocorticism (Cushing's disease) which is when there is excessive steroid production in the body due to a pituitary tumor or adrenal gland mass. There is treatment for the disease but it needs to be confirmed first. If you want to know for sure, testing such as an ACTH or low dose dexamethasone test should be performed. You can try using melatonin and flaxseed lignans to treat cushings disease naturally. I have had some cases respond to this treatment but not 100%. Also, I see that cre is 18. If this is creatinine, this is very high. Again, this depends on the machines reference range, calibration and unit of measure. Keep in mind, however, that it is hot out and he's drinking more due to that, which would increase urination. With kidney failure, you would also see weight loss, a loss of appetite, and lethargy. From what you are saying, it doesn't sound like kidney failure, more likely due to the hot weather. At his next annual exam, you can get blood work again to check his kidneys. I hope this helps!

I'm not seeing a cause for increased thirst in these results. That seems like a lot of bilirubin, but this part of the test sometimes is not as accurate so it's not necessarily something to be concerned about. She doesn't have a large amount of glucose in her urine, so diabetes would be an unlikely cause of her increased thirst. What I'm not sure about is the specific gravity - this would typically be 4 numbers. I'm wondering if her specific gravity is supposed to be 1.005 or if it is supposed to be 1.050. The first would indicate a very dilute urine in which case you should see your vet to discuss additional testing to determine why she is drinking so much - blood work might be recommended to start. 1.050 would be quite concentrated, and I honestly would not worry about perceived increased thirst if this was her specific gravity. I believe that you get a consultation with some of the Petnostics tests which would be a little more helpful as it is more of a back and forth conversation. You could check your package to see if there are more details.

You might want to check back in with your vet and see if there are any other tests they would recommend. Increased urination and thirst (polyuria/polydipsia) can be caused by a number of diseases, and if screening lab work looks normal some of the other tests to consider include a urinalysis, test for leptospirosis, test for Cushing's disease, abdominal ultrasound, or even a modified water deprivation test or medication trial for central diabetes insipidus. If your veterinarian is not receptive to running more tests you may want to ask about referral to an internal medicine specialist.

I am very sorry to hear that you are experiencing these issues with Matilda. These clinical signs, inappetance and increased water consumption are unfortunately very common for diabetic dogs. Because Matilda's body cannot handle the Sivan she eats in her food in a normal way, an excess amount is passed through her urine. The sugar drags water with it, meaning that Matilda will urinate more of her water intake and reserves then a normal dog will. Keeping her insulin medication and feed intake carefull monitored will help slow this diuretic effect and keep her more hydrated. The same issues with handling sugar inside her body can affect her appetite. If you are noticing that these problems are becoming worse, I suggest a recheck with your vet to make sure that the medications are at an appropriate dosage, and that there aren't any complicating factors present, such as a yeinary tract infection, which are common in diabetic dogs.
