Doberman or Ridgeback: Guarding 6 acres, good with small dogs?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Doberman or Rhodesian ridgeback for gaurding 6 acres I plan to have it trained by a certified trainer in attack protection and obedience, I want a dog who will learn the boundaries of the land and will not stray I also have 3 small dogs 2 shitzu’s and 1 chihuahua so it would have to be able to get along with them

I would choose a Doberman, although I may be biased since I currently own one. Any dog you choose should be introduced to your pack before a final decision is made. If well trained, either will not attack dog or human without being given the command.
