Put him on a leash and take him outside to his designated spot. Do not walk around. Just stand there and repeat "go outside" or a similar phrase. As soon as he starts to go, repeat "go outside" and praise "good dog!" as he goes. When he is finished, or if it appears that he is not going to go, bring him inside but do not remove the leash, e3ven if he has done his business. Attach it to your belt loop and keep him with you. Don’t let him out of your sight! When you see him start to circle or sniff, take him right outdoors again and repeat the process. This is something that Harley may eventually grow out of as she gets older. I think what you are doing by taking her out on a leash first is good. You can try offering her treats if she goes off the leash to reinforce that behavior.

This can be a normal reaction to dogs who are used to pottying in the backyard, off leash. When you walk them and they’re on a leash they become anxious and nervous about going to the bathroom out in the open and on the leash. My best advice for you is to try and walk him frequently so he gets used to being on the leash. If he is able to hold his urine and bowel movements then it shouldn’t be a big issue. He will need to lease go to the bathroom every 10 to 12 hours. When you do walk him on the leash and he potties use lots of positive reinforcement like praise and treats to let him know you are proud of him and did a good job. I typically recommend taking them outside on a leash to get them used to it. You may have to go out frequently at first. Deuce is very young and it is not reasonable to expect him to go outside all the time (and he probably is too young to be leash trained). I'd recommend just taking him outdoors occasionally to get him used to the rain but not expecting him to urinate or defecate at this point.

I'm sorry to hear of your problems with Borkem. If possible, I would try to start associating a word with the act of peeing and pooping. The best way to do this would be to take Borkem to an area that you can have him off leash and watching him carefully. When he pees or poops, say "good pee!" immediately and reward him with a high-value treat such as hot dogs or cheese. You will need to do this consistently over several days to create the association between the command and the act. Once Borkem understands that you would like him to pee or poop when you say pee or poop (or whatever command you choose to use) it will be easier to communicate what you want from him when he is on a leash. Her behavior sounds every normal for her age. Ar this age, you can begin teaching her basic commands such as "sit" and "down". A good trick to start with is by teaching Spots his name, and the command "look at me". This involves taking a favorite treat, placing it in front of his nose, and then bringing it to your forehead while saying either his name, or the command "look at me". Once he looks up at you, praise and give him the treat. This will help him start to learn his name, and give you a better way to gain his attention. Puppies generally have short attention spans, so training sessions of 5-10 minutes max throughout the day are often better than one long session. if he gets too bored or distracted, simply stop the session and try again later. For the leash training, you may want to help Spots get used to being on leash just by having the leash hooked to him and letting him drag it around (with supervision in case he gets stuck on something). Giving praise, and starting out with short walks, before gradually increasing them can also help. If likes to bite the least, giving him a toy to keep in his mouth instead on the walk, or teaching him to drop the leash and then trading the leash for a treat instead can help him as well.
