Denamarin is a liver support supplement. If Wuggy is healthy and not having any liver problems, the supplement probably wouldn't do much. However, if your vet has prescribed it as a supplement to help with any health issues or for general liver support, it is worth trying and may be beneficial.

Dahlia will need a follow up blood test because thats the only way to know if the medication is helping. Most pets will have the blood retested 1 month after starting the Denamarin. The Denamarin should not be needed if her liver enzymes are normal. It is not for energy it is just to help support the liver. Giving it intermittently is just a waste of money. It won't hurt it but it's not necessary. I suggest you put her on a good supplement like this one. I would talk to your vet about alternative supplements to Denamarin. This is an antioxidant supplement containing S-Adenosylmethionine (SAMe) and silymarin, which can usually be found at a human pharmacy, but you need to get the dose from your vet.
