Why is my 5-month-old Chihuahua puppy suddenly wobbly and tired?

Very young puppies can be a little uncoordinated when they are moving, but I would worry that Happy might also be showing signs of hypoglycemia which is common in toy breed puppies. I would recommend having him examined by an emergency veterinarian just in case - hypoglycemia can be life threatening if untreated. You could try offering him some food before you head to the vet. I also think 6 weeks is too young to be separated from mom - ideally puppies should stay with their dam until they are 7-8 weeks of age for proper development and nutrition.

Sounds like Ori may have low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) but that is not common in this size or age of puppy. I suggest you give a bit of Karo syrup or honey by mouth (just a teaspoon or two). If no improvement within 15 minutes of giving him that then he needs to see a vet ASAP.

The CBC that you posted does not show any significant abnormalities. Hypocalcemia (low blood calcium) is not terribly common in puppies, it is most common in pregnant or nursing dogs. Hypocalcemia can be caused by severe malnutrition. More commonly, small breed puppies, like chihuahuas, can easily become hypoglycemic (low blood sugar). Sometimes this is caused by not eating frequently enough. I recommend that Bread be fed a good quality puppy food every 6 hours to prevent hypoglycemia. If she is lethargic, you can rub honey or caro syrup on her gums to help. If she will lap it up, you can also offer her a small amount of sugar water (but don't leave it out longer than a few minutes as it can quickly go bad and grow bacteria). In the US, we have a supplement called Nutrical, but it is not a calcium supplement, it has some vitamins, fat, protein, and sugar to help prevent this from happening. Other causes of hypoglycemia in puppies are congenital defects like portosystemic shunt or hydrocephalus, and other issues like bacterial infection (less likely based on the CBC), intestinal parasites, stress, or diarrhea.

See how she is after this. With her being so small, her blood sugar could be having difficulties regulating, especially if she is a picky eater or doesn't eat that much. Sometimes small breed puppies can have hypoglycemic episodes. Because of this its important to feed them multiple snacks throughout the day. I recommend taking Koko to see her veterinarian soon just to make sure that there is nothing that requires medical treatment.

I am concerned about these symptoms. I think you should get Poppy Seed checked out by a vet ASAP. They aren't consistent with any one disease process, but it is still concerning. Young, tiny breed dogs are prone to hypoglycemia, so I would feed her some honey or caro syrup (or place it in her cheek if she won't lick it) to help prevent hypoglycemia.

She may either be going through a growth spurt, or she may have low glucose. If she isn't eating at least 3/4th of her normal diet, then I would be concerned about possible low glucose or another neurological condition.
