Why is my adopted dog suddenly aggressive towards other dogs?

Hello, a year ago I adopted my dog (hunting dog) out of a shelter. At the beginning he got along with dogs but not with cats. A few months ago I noticed that he started to show the same behavioral problems towards friendly small dogs, and today he growled and nearly bit an big, yet submissive, dog (retriever type). I am very worried for the safety of not only my dog, but also the other animals and I would like to get some advise. Can it be that because he is the submissive type, that when an oth

Your question is cut off, but if Igor is showing aggression toward other animals, I highly recommend talking to and working with a trainer or behaviorist near you. Usually, training related to nerves/aggression around other animals is worked on with Behavioral Adjustment Training (BAT) or other desensitization techniques to keep your dog from reacting negatively toward other animals (or the object that is causing the trigger.)
