Discharge from the vulva of an unspayed female is always very concerning. Your cat may have a urinary tract infection or may have a more serious condition called a pyometra. This is where the uterus becomes infected. Pyometra can be life threatening. If this is what is going on with Panda she will need surgery to have her uterus removed. She will also need to be on antibiotics.

I would recommend taking Panda in to see your vet as soon as possible so she can be evaluated and treatment can be initiated.

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Discharge from the vulva can either have a urinary or reproductive cause. As she is unspayed, I would be concerned that she could have an infected uterus, a condition known as pyometra. I would recommend she be evaluated by her regular veterinarian to determine the underlying cause for her discharge, have any necessary testing done (X-rays, bloodwork) and get started on any treatment that may be needed. If Olivia has discharge from her vulva and no spayed I am concerned about a pyometra (infection in the uterus). This would require you to spay her. I would bring her back to a veterinarian. I would recommend a different vet mainly because you do not have trust in the one you recently have seen. I would bring her to a veterinarian as soon as possible. Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Dallas. Poor girl! A discharge from her vagina isn't normal and this can be a sign of something serious like a pyometra. While she is a young cat, this can happen in cats her age, and it would cause her a lot of pain. It could also be she has a bladder issue. I would take her into a vet as soon as possible to have this diagnosed and treated. Taking her into an ER vet now would be best. I hope this helps!

My female cat has bleeding and creamy brown discharge. Is it serious?

I would be extremely concerned that Lola has a pyometra. This is a life threatening infection of the uterus that requires immediate veterinary treatment. It would cause a creamy brown mucus discharge. A pyo is fatal without treatment, so I would take Lola into a vet right away. The vet can do a physical exam, blood tests, a urinalysis, and x-rays to diagnose she does have a pyo. If she does, spaying her in part of the recommended treatment. Please take her into a vet now.

That discharge is very abnormal. My guess is that she may have a pyometra (uterine infection). I suggest you get her to a vet as soon as you can. If you are not near an emergency vet she can likely wait until morning as long as she is eating and drinking OK. If she is acting sick then you need to find an emergency vet right now. If you are certain that Clowny is not pregnant then it could be discharge related to vaginitis, or inflammation/infection of the vagina. it might also be a sign of a uterine or urinary tract infection. I'd recommend seeing your veterinarian for them to examine Clowny if this discharge continues.
