Found a stray kitten that's skinny and sneezing. What should I do?

Poor little Squirt! It could be she has a respiratory infection. Keep her indoors tonight, and warm. You can try bringing her into the bathroom when you take a shower, as the steam may help temporarily with the wheezing. First thing in the morning, I'd take her into the vet. Best of luck.

Poor girl. It is likely that she caught a bug from the shelter. Phoebe has symptoms of an upper respiratory infection and the best way to help her is to get her on a short course of antibiotics. If she also has yellow or green discharge from her eyes, then a topical eye ointment is needed as well to cure her symptoms. Make sure she is up to date on her vaccinations, and if she isn't, then get her updated and this can help fight off future infections.

It appears as though Wraith may have a respiratory infection and the thin body condition could be due to failure for her to thrive from the infection. She may also have intestinal parasites that could be causing the poor weight gain. I would definitely consider bringing her inside and keeping her in there out of the cold weather, especially considering she is so young and thin. If you are concerned about cost at a vet clinic, there are plenty of rescues you could reach out to to see if either they have any medications to donate or if they could take her from you so that she can get the most appropriate veterinary care. The only other option you have is to make sure she is eating enough and can even add kitten formula with the food and wait for her immune system to fight off the respiratory infection. However, there may be more going on. If you cannot afford to take her to a vet clinic, then my recommendation would be to give her up to a rescue so that she can receive the care that she needs. Poor kitty. This kitty could have an infection (viral or bacterial) or intestinal parasites. She should be dewormed (i.e. fenbendazole), fecal testing, examined by your vet, and then treated based on what is found. The wheezing indicates that an upper respiratory infections is most likely present as well, in which oral antibiotics are needed to clear. You can give Kiwi Lysine supplements (from your local pet store) to help boost her immune system and fight off viral infections; use a humidifier or place her in a bathroom with the hot water running to help clear up clogged nasal passages; and feed her high quality kitten food (Royal Canin, Wellness, Blue Buffalo, etc) for overall health.

I'd make an appointment with a vet for Peanut. There could be a medical reason why he is so skinny such as intestinal worms. The vet can diagnose the cause, and can help you get him to gain weight. Best of luck.

I would have him seen by a vet as soon as possible. There are a couple of things thing could be causing all of his symptoms. The cough and hoarse meow could be be caused by a respiratory disease, heart disease, heartworms, and cancer among other causes. These causes could lead to him to be very skinny as well, but it could also be caused by kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, and diabetes. I recommend having a physical exam, blood tests, urinalysis, and x-rays performed on your cat. Using these tests, the vet can diagnose what is causing all his symptoms, and then can discuss treatment options with you.
