Keeping your cat's nails short and trimmed will help. It would also be helpful to provide your cat with a scratching post so he can use this instead of using your curtains. To keep him off the counters you can use a spray bottle with water to discourage this behavior. Other things that may work is putting double sided tape on the surfaces because your cat will not like how it sticks to his paws. It usually only takes one or two trips on the counter with the tape to discourage this behavior. Cats LOVE to jump up on things and get to higher areas. If you don't already have a "cat tree," I would highly recommend you invest in one if you are truly going to try to keep your cats off your furniture. Give her something she CAN be on; spray with catnip spray or sprinkle with catnip. Most of them include scratching posts as well, which you should have a few of throughout your home to prevent her from scratching your carpet or furniture. There are mesh panels which can be fitted to escape - you would need to monitor closely at the start to ensure your cats do not attack and create holes in them if very persistent! There are also child proof restrictors which limit the window opening to only an inch or so to allow for ventilation - ensure they are not open enough for a cats head to get stuck however. If possible, keeping the cat out of the room with opened windows would also ensure they could not fall

I don't know any cats who respond to "no!", to be honest - mine certainly don't either! ;) In general, cats respond much better to rewards and redirecting them to some other activity than they do to any type of punishment. It's completely normal for kittens to climb and scratch. If he is doing these things in places that you don't want him to, this means that you need to provide him with more things if his own to climb and scratch on. Kitty condos, floor-to-ceiling cat trees, and tall, sturdy scratching posts are all good options that can help with this. Make sure that he has his own things to climb and scratch on in the areas of the house where he likes to spend time, and reward him with treats and petting when he uses them.

There are nets you can affix to the balcony so he cannot fall off. Search for "balcony cat netting" on the internet. This would be for outside balconies though. However you could have that affixed from the balcony over to the wall. Since that balcony is inside the house, I doubt he will fall off. However you may not be able to decorate that balcony with things, as he will start playing with the decorations......and break them.

Kittens this age can be challenging to live with! You can try spraying your mom's plant with Bitter Apple spray - this is a bitter-tasting substance that often works well to deter chewing on plants, electrical cords, and other inappropriate items in the house. I also think it's a great idea to get some cat-friendly plants for your room and other areas in the house, if possible, since she seems to enjoy chewing on them. The most appropriate things she has to chew on, the less likely she will be to seek out your mom's plant. For the kitchen table, I would suggest placing double-sided sticky tape on it whenever you're not using it to eat on - most cats don't like the feel of this on their paws, so she will learn on her own to avoid the table if it's always uncomfortable to walk on. Once she is no longer trying to get on it at all anymore, you can slowly fade out using the tape.

Cats will scratch where ever they see the opportunity. Unfortunately, it is not always where we want them scratching. I would encourage him scratching appropriate areas by attracting him with food, treats and/or catnip on/near his posts. Cats hate if sticky things touch their feet. Often just a piece of tape (made into a loop with the sticky side out) placed in the corners will stop them from scratching the carpeted stairs.
