My cat Tulip, has matts on the top of her and we've been told the only option to get rid of them is to have them shaved. Tulip is sensitive about the matts if they are touched but if left alone dont bother her. She is extremely skiddish ( I mean TERRIFIED)and scared of riding in cars, going to the vet, loud noises etc. and I just want to know if you think it is worth putting her through all that to shave the matts. Is there a home remedy? Could we shave her ourselves at this point? What is best?
