Hi my cat is around 19 years old and has been off his food recently (for around a wee maybe morek) he has been having half a tin over two days. He makes a loud clicking noise when he does eat. And over the past couple of months has lost rather a lot of weight. He really doesn't seem himself. We have a vets app scheduled for Wednesday however we were just hoping for some advice to hopefully put our minds at rest as we are very worried. He also had diarrhoea about two days ago.

I would recommend that you have him examined by a vet to see why the change in appetite and weight loss. 21 is quite old for a cat, and they can have several issues that could cause his symptoms. Blood work to check out liver, kidneys, and thyroid levels would be indicated.
