Why is my senior cat weak, dizzy, arched back, and smells like urine?

My cat smelled like she pissed her self she some times giant pee in her bog instead does on ever cloth she can find she is 16. She won't lift her head up just looks down and has her eyes wide open she acts part dizzy and some looks a little weak walking and her back seems to be arched back hard. She had only been like this for a day Idk what it is any idea ?

Sounds like your cat has something affecting her nervous system and it is pretty severe. He nerves innervate the eyes, influence her stance, her gait and also her mentation (ability to be aware of her surroundings). Several things can affect the nervous system including toxins, chemicals, liver shunts, primary brain stem lesions and tumors, and severe liver disease. I would highly recommend taking her in to your vet for baseline bloodwork and radiographs to start. Her lab work findings will help them pinpoint what is going on with her internally so that you can best help your furry friend. There really isn't much you can do for her at home until you know exactly what is going on with her and then get the vet to prescribe medications to help her condition. I hope she feels better soon.

This does not sound normal and I recommend to have her examined today. A blind cat generally does not have trouble walking. Instead they tend to walk slowly and cautiously but they are not unbalanced. A sudden onset of neurological signs is always concerning and could indicate poisoning, a stroke from a blood clot or even potentially infectious diseases which can infect humans like Toxoplasmosis. I recommend to play it safe and have Kiki examined today. Especially with a concern for infectious disease for humans. I hope this helps.

Poor Bady! She needs to see the veterinarian today as she is very sick. There are several different conditions that will look like this including diabetic ketoacidosis, cancer, stroke, hyperthyroidism, infection, severe kidney disease or electrolyte in balance. These conditions all require treatment and are best addressed early on for the best potential outcome. I'm sorry to hear of your concerns with Daphne. Eye discharge can be seen with upper respiratory infections. Other symptoms of upper respiratory infections include coughing, sneezing and nasal discharge. I would not expect to see incoordination or weakness with an upper respiratory infection. The unsteadiness that you describe makes me more concerned about worsening of her heart problem or potentially a neurologic issue. I would recommend that you have Daphne seen by your veterinarian to ensure there is nothing more serious going on. An upper respiratory infection will most likely resolve on its own as long as Daphne is eating and drinking normally.

This sounds more like a respiratory infection. Losing bladder control happens also when the cat all of a sudden cannot breathe for a second. Make sure you wipe the discharge off her nose and take her to a vet (pet ER) tonight. The wobbly walk is very concerning.

Hi. It would be helpful to know how old she is, what your veterinarian has already done. I would be concerned about either a back issue such as a disc, neuropathy possibly caused by diabetes, or someother type of neurologic issue affecting the back legs. I would recommend you ask your veterinarian for a referral to a neurologist. They would be able to imaging of the area to look more closely. I would also recommend a full blood panel to check internal functions and for diabetes. Good luck
