Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 13 years and 8 months old

Hi, I have a 14 year old female cat, she has some kind of skin problem on her face (over her nose area) the fur has all gone and its very scabby, I have attached a photo? she had it for quite sometime but has recently got much worse. I intend to take her to see a vet but can't get there for a few weeks and I am concerned for her.Thank you - Julie

This is actually very concerning. I suggest you get her to your vet as soon as possible. I would be very worried that this is skin cancer (like squamous cell carcinoma) because of her coloration (white), the location of the lesions and the duration of the lesions.
