My senior cat has arthritis and wobbly back legs. What can I do?

I do recommend treatment to give her the best quality life she can have. See your vet to help rule out something more nefarious (because cancer and other things also can cause problems in older cats). Then have a discussion about safe medications and supplements for cats. Hi there, I'm sorry to hear what you and Pepe are going through. It sounds like he is on medications to alleviate his pain, and that you are doing all you can. I would consider trying acupuncture and cold laser for him. These therapies can really help with back pain. I would also think about his quality of life and these questions can help you make a decision, even though it's always difficult. 1) Does he enjoy his life? 2) Is he able to do normal cat things (eat, drink, use his box, play). Hello! It sounds as if Carter's back legs are getting worse, which can happen with time, when a dog has arthritic hips. Hopefully he is back on his feet and more comfortable now! You can use a joint supplement such as Cosequin (ask your vet about this!), and help him by having good surfaces to stand on (ie avoiding slippery floors). If he is quite uncomfortable, you could ask your vet about some pain killers, or anti-inflammatories. Hope this helps!
