Why is my older cat throwing up whole kibble right after eating?

It sounds as Snow is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

I would be concerned this is related to Duster's kidney problems, as kidney failure is very common in senior cats and causes vomiting. It could also be a problem with his liver. I'd have him seen by a vet right away for this problem. Best of luck.

But you first have to differentiate whethere whether Coix is vomting (obvious retching and forceful expulsion) or regurgitating (undigested food just seems to come out without much effort). Vomiting can be caused by inflammatory bowel disease, megaesophagus (typically causes regurgitation), a parasitic infection (not as common), or even an underlying congenital disorder. Most of these conditions are treatable. You should first start with some diagnostic testing to gather more information on your specific pets condition. Then we will know what needs to be done for Coix to help control his vomiting episodes a bit better. In general, you can continue to feed smaller portions and go with an easily digestible diet such as limited ingredient diets (i.e. Iams, Purina, Evo). This is something you can easily start while awaiting a proper vet visit and diagnostic work-up for Coix. If Lucy is otherwise acting normally you could try a diet like Hill's Science Diet for sensitive stomach to see if this helps. However, if Lucy is having other issues, if she is vomiting frequently, or she continues to vomit despite the diet change then she should be examined by a veterinarian. I see that she is a senior girl, and this vomiting could be due to diabetes, hyperthyroidism, kidney failure, cardiac disease, and cancer among other causes. I recommend having her seen by a vet for a physical exam, geriatric blood panel, urinalysis, and x-rays. These tests can help the vet identify if there are any medical illness causing her to vomit, and can discuss treatment options with you.

Draco may be eating his food too fast and then it expands (in the case of dry food) and the stomach wants to get rid of it, "thinking" it is overfilling, Better feed him smaller amounts of food over three to four times a day. Eating grass is a sign of a tummy ache or nausea. Draco may also be trying to get rid of a hair ball. In addition, there is a possibility of chronic pancreatitis and gastritis. Older cats also tend to get old cat diseases, such as hyperthyroidism or kidney disease, both of which can cause vomiting. Worst case scenario, especially since Draco is an older kitty, would be lymphoma. I suggest you take Draco to your veterinarian for a senior exam including blood tests, possibly x-rays, if the vomiting does not subside with changing to feeding smaller portions more frequently.

Common causes of vomiting in cats includes hairballs, food allergy, eating too fast, GI blockage, intestinal parasites, IBD, intestinal lymphoma, hyperthyroidism, systemic disease (liver, kidney, pancreas, diabetes), among others. You can remove her food and wait 6-12 hours to see if the vomiting stops. Then only give her small amounts of her food. If the vomiting continues tomorrow, Mochi should get checked out by her vet.
