My older cat is sneezing, throwing up, and not eating. Is he sick?

Yes, I would be concerned because it isn't normal that Sylvester is vomiting after meals, and that tells me that something is wrong with him. He could have a foreign body, GI illness, or may have eaten something rotten. I would take him into a vet today. Best of luck.

Hello, sorry to hear about Kitty. I would definitely have him evaluated in case his cold is secondary from aspirating his vomit which could be causing him a pneumonia now. If he does have pneumonia now, he will need antibiotics and likewise if he has an upper respiratory infections. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Taken individually, the symptoms wouldn't be too concerning, but with several things going on at the same time, I recommend getting him seen by your vet for an exam. Since he's been feeling a bit off since the move, it's even more important to get him checked to see what's going on. Also, as an older cat, he could be starting to have some kidney concerns which, if identified early can be managed at home with instruction by your vet. You vet will do an exam, bloodwork, possibly x-rays as well if indicated. Based on these resuts you vet will be better able to tell you what is going on and how best to treat it.

The sneezing could indicate a respiratory infection. There are lots of health reasons for her symptoms and Lilly really should see her veterinarian as soon as possible to have her evaluated and treated. Your veterinarian will do an exam and may recommend additional testing such as blood work or x-rays to pin down a cause so Lilly can get the treatment she needs and start to feel better.

Poor guy. It sounds like he has a bit of allergic rhinitis, which can be caused by aerosolized chemicals or just dust/dander in the air. I would recommend using Heppa filters to vaccuum your home and try to eliminate any aerosolized chemicals or irritants that may be causing this. Otherwise, as long as he doesn't continue to vomit, then he should be ok. If the sneezing continues contact your vet to see if they can prescribe some antihistamines to try for him without a required vet visit.
