Updated on September 23rd, 2025

so I am taking home a 1 day old kitten and I am prepared to do everything and I have done research about how to take care of it but I already have a 1 year old cat and he has fleas and I have the advantage II flea medication and I am going to give it to him but I was wondering if I do all the proper things for the newborn like feed it and keep it in its own space away from the other cat will it be okay

He should be fine, but you can't guaranty he won't get fleas. keep an eye on him, it's usually easy to spot fleas on newborns. from the age of 2 days Frontline spray can be used for fleas in case you find any.
