How much should I expect to pay for new kitten vaccinations?

The prices for veterinary hospitals vary greatly depending on the area where you live and what type of clinic you are going to (corporate such as Banfield, a private practice or a shelter that has a spay/neuter/vaccine clinic). You could call around to your local options to get pricing for an initial exam and shots, and then would be able to discuss surgical needs during that appointment. Good luck!

These shots are likely FVRCP and possibly Feline Leukemia vaccine. Costs do vary based upon where you live and if you go to a vaccine clinic or not. Information including pricing can be found for the Vetco vaccine clinics offered by Petco at Petco.com. Otherwise I recommend to call around or look at the websites of your local clinics. Oh goodness, Kurama and the kitten are just adorable! At 3 months of age, it's the perfect time to give Kumara his second distemper/parvo combination vaccine. You may also consider bordetella (kennel cough), especially if he will be spending time around other dogs (grooming, boarding, dog park, etc) as well as leptospirosis, which has become more commonly seen in recent months in the northeast. At 16 weeks he'll get his final distemper/parvo booster, along with his rabies vaccination. You should also strongly consider a fecal test for parasites, as well as at least 2 deworming treatments. Your kitten will need 3 rounds of the feline distemper vaccine, starting at 8 weeks of age. Just like Kumara, she'll need rabies at 16 weeks. We are also recommending the feline leukemia vaccination for kittens, and also I recommend testing them for this disease as well as for feline AIDS. Dewormings for her as well as fecal tests are recommended. Hi there. This will vary quite a bit depending on where you live and what clinic you go to, so it's hard to give a good "general" answer for the entire US. But to give you a general idea, in my area, the total cost for a first kitten visit (exam, FeLV/FIV test, fecal exam +/- deworming, first set of vaccines, and first dose of flea/HW meds) would usually be in the $150-250 range. In some parts of the country, it could be considerably more - so if cost is a concern, I would suggest calling around to some local clinics to ask about their prices before your visit.
