My new cat has no vaccine records. When should she get her shots?

I would recommend starting from scratch if you're unsure of his vaccine status. They can check him for a chip. If there's a chance of figuring out who the previous vet was, they will be able to send records to your new vet.

Unfortunately without a date of birth you cannot find out his exact age. regarding the vaccinations, i would recommend just starting over with a kitten vaccination course, even if he already had it , it will not hurt him, on the other hand if he didn't have it, this can be very dangerous for him.

If you are unsure of vaccine status, she should get aFVRCP (feline distemper) vaccine followed by a booster 3-4 weeks later. A Rabies vaccine should also be given. She should also be tested for FeLV and FIV. Submit a stool sample to diagnose intestinal parasites.

If you do not have any records the Vet will determine how many DHPP vaccines she will need to protect her. It is in her best interest to receive the vaccines even if she had they before. The Rabies vaccine can be given in most state between 12-16 weeks of age. Your Vet will likely deworm her and get her on a good flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Because Jiji hasn't been vaccinated before, she will need at least two rounds of vaccines given four weeks apart in order to have full immunity. Vaccinating her on Monday will not be enough to protect her. Make sure your dad fully cleans the room, and bring your own food and water bowls as well as litter box so that she doesn't share anything with his cat. Keep your kitten in the room, and allow her to have no contact with the other cat. I do recommend getting her vaccinated, so have her seen by the vet on Monday to start the process. Best of luck!
