You can use baby gates or covered X-pens to help make the open space a bit smaller as you gradually introduce the kittens to the area. This can help control where they go and make it easy for them to adjust. Shutting doors, etc can also help control the number of areas they go to at once. Once they are more used to the area, you can then open up more space. I also highly recommend a pheromone diffuser plug-in such as Feliway in the room you'll be introducing them to in order to help with stress.

No, I don't think you've made the the wrong choice. It takes time for a new cat to adjust to the new home, and since she is shy, I would recommend keeping them separated for longer than three days. I will give you a method for introducing them. Keep the door closed, and for a few days, feed them both treats on other side of door so they associate each other's smell with a good experience. Then let the other cat in the new cat's room while the new cat is in a cat carrier. They can smell each other, but not be in contact. If either becomes upset or show signs of aggression, remove the second cat from the room, and try again later. Praise them when they interact appropriately. When they are interacting well with each other through the carrier, you can let the new cat out of her room, and see how she interacts with the other cat. I would get a cat tree with lots of shelves to give the cats vertical space to get away from each other. It is wonderful you adopted a new cat. New environments can be very scary for certain cats. I would recommend making sure that MIllie has easy access to a litter box and food. I also would make sure she has a safe place to high and get up to a high place (like cat tree). It also can take type for her to adapt to her new space and feel more comfortable. She is still very young so I would just recommend moving slowly with her. I hope that helps

Moving into a new home is often frightening for a kitten, and it will take time for Amber to get used to her new home and you. I would give her lots of love and attention when she approaches you, including treats. This shows her that coming up to you is a good thing. Give her treats when she allows you to touch her. I would not try to approach her yourself, allow her to come to you. As she becomes adjusted to her home, she will eventually allow you to approach her.

Don't put their food/litter box in any place where there is a lot of traffic/noise. Don't force them to do anything as this will make it worse. I suggest you try some Feliway diffusers in your house. If it has only been a few days since moving into the new house, I would give them some time to adjust. It can take up to two weeks for animals to feel comfortable in a new home. If after another week they are not adjusting I would talk with your veterinarian about anxiety medication for them. I'm sorry to hear that Tippy is having a hard time adjusting. I would recommend a couple of things. I would try to decrease stress as much as possible. That may mean closing the door to the room that Tippy is in during the day to give her a "safe" place to be. You could also add a Feliway Diffuser ( https://www.feliway.com ) to your house. I would leave her food in her "safe" area and just give her time. I know it seems like 6 weeks is a long time, but hopefully some additional calming techniques will help.
