Mother cat fighting new male cat after kittens. What should I do?

Finally, you can let them be in the same room, but make sure they are supervised and make sure that each cat has a way to get away from the other. It would be best to keep the male separate from the queen, especially if she is already acting aggressively toward him. Once the kittens are born, the queen will likely get even more protective, which could result in injury if you leave the cats together.
