How to measure your cat for the perfect carrier size and fit?

You should purchase a cat carrier to safely travel with Mennu. I have a link to a few examples below. It would be best to get Mennu as familiar with the carrier as possible prior to travel to help reduce stress - leave the carrier out so she can explore it. You may even want to try feeding her in the carrier. Take her for a short trip once before leaving. A pheromone spray like Feliway could help reduce stress. Yes, it does look like she fits in it, but I am concerned that it may not be high enough for her. You'd like for the carrier to be big enough that the dog can turn around in. I'm not sure if you are planning to take her on a flight; if you are, you should check with the airlines to get their rules around pet transport and the requirements for the dog and the carrier. For a 30 minute transport, this is should be fine. There looks there are a lot of holes, which is good. I'd be surprised if they get their heads through the holes, but you can make them smaller to be safe. This is a very clever way to transport them! I hope this helps!

The reality is that cats sleep when we are at work, so my only concern at 14 years old is that he is able to comfortably jump up to the second level in order to access his bed. As long as he is able to make that jump easily, I think he will be very comfortable in that cage while he gets acclimated to his new home. Good luck! Oh I like that one! Sofia can look out and there are nice big air holes. I would slowly get her used to being in it. Start by leaving it open, and letting her explore it. Then put her in it for a few minutes once a day, and then slowly increasing the amount of time she is in it.

Hello. I would purchase a medium sized storage tote & coax Minka in. Or, you can place the tote over her, slip the lid underneath & carefully turn the tote right side up. Tape or secure the lid. It you have more than a 10 minute trip to your vet, make sure the tote has ventilation holes punched into it. Once you get to the vet, they should be able to handle her. What a lovely kitty you have! Yes she can travel with you. You will need a carrier that can be closed securely. You should put the carrier into the car in such a way that your kitty cannot look out the window as she will not understand how the landscape can go by so fast and that will scare her. She may be crying a lot and that is somewhat unnerving. Some cats settle after a while and sleep, others will cry for 2 hours. She will likely pee in the carrier, so put a potty pad into the carrier that absorbs the pee. Make sure it is not too hot in the car, have water ready, but if it is only a two hour trip, she will likely not need water until she reaches her destination.
