I would also recommend spaying for many reasons, not just that it is annoying behavior, but she is substantially less likley to develop mammary cancers and uterine infections if she is spayed. This behavior may last another 7 days. She may come out of heat for a couple weeks and then come back into heat until she is bred. Best of luckt o you and Coca!

Yes, it is probably better not to walk her when she is in heat. Cats often will stay in heat until they get bred so my recommendation is that if you don't plan on breeding her you should have her spayed ASAP. Otherwise this is going to be a constant issue. I'm not sure of the age or sex of the "baby cat" but if that kitten is a male then I suggest you separate them once he is 6 months of age otherwise he will breed her when she is in heat....... I personally highly recommend spaying female cats because they are extremely annoying when they are in heat, very vocal all the time, trying to get outside to find males to mate with, and quite affectionate. Many owners report being very put out by having a female cat in heat. In addition, not spaying her can lead to serious health problems such as a pyometra (a severe and sometimes fatal infection of the uterus) and mammary tumors (90% of which in cats are malignant). But if you choose not to spay her, you will just have to deal with her heat cycles and the accompanying behavior. You don't have to breed her if you don't want to, but you can talk to the breeder from whom you get your cat and ask if they know any studs you can breed her with when she is old enough. Best of luck!
