What causes a kitten to scratch her neck with no fleas or rash?

This is most likely due to some type of allergy. Due to its location it is most likely fleas but could also be due to something else in the environment. I would make sure she is on a high quality flea preventative like comfortis, cheristan, or advantage. Also, if you see any fleas on her I would also treat your house and yard for fleas. Fleas do not live on the pet but in the environment. If you do not see any fleas and the spots are not improving, I would recommend to have your vet take a look at them. This itching can be caused by fleas, mites, ringworm, or allergies. If she isn't up to date on her flea treatment, I can give you one for her. First, I would give her Capstar. It's a one time pill that starts killing fleas within 30 minutes. Then follow up with a spot on treatment, such as Advantage or Revolution. This is a treatment that has to be used once a month. You will also have to disinfect the environment. Wash her bedding in hot soapy water, and vacuum the furniture and carpet surfaces. You can use a spray to kill fleas in the house, such as Indorex, or a flea bomb would work well to kill the fleas in the home. If she is up to date on her flea treatment, I recommend taking her into the vet for an exam tomorrow. The vet can do blood tests, skin scrapings, and use a Wood's lamp to diagnose allergies, mites, and ringworm. Once the cause of the itching is found, the vet can prescribe the appropriate treatment. The fleas don’t cause visible damage like this, so it’s probably from scratching. Fleas could certainly cause enough irritation to cause self-trauma from itching, ear infections are another cause. I would recommend staying a good-quality monthly flea preventative and you may need to have Tigger checked out by a vet to check for infections.

Tyga could be suffering from allergies causing her to itch, or she could have an ear infection causing her to scratch at her ear. An ear infection can be caused by bacteria or yeast in addition to ear mites, so I would recommend having her seen by a vet tomorrow. The vet can diagnose what is causing her to scratch a lot, and can treat her for it.

This is probably caused by an allergic reaction. first of all make sure you de-flea Bleu regularly every month with a high quality spot on (ex. Advantage) as fleas are by far the most common reason for these reactions. If the fleas are not the problem, it could be an allergic reaction to food or an environmental factor. this is more complicated to treat and will sometimes require medications such as Steroids, anti histamines or cyclosporin in order to stop the allergy.
