Hi, I have a 14 week old kitten that has been pooping a bit of blood with roundworms. I'm just wondering if giving him over the counter deworming liquid will help?

Yes if you get a wormer for kittens and dose it exactly according to the instructions and by weight it should kill the worms. It is best to worm now, and again in 2-3 weeks in oeder to get all the worms and the new ones hatching from eggs laid by the present ones. If he keeps pooping blood after being wormed, you may want to take a stool sample to your vet to check for remaining parasites including giardia (which a normal wormer will not cover).
