Is my kitten licking and rolling in dirty underwear harmful?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Generally, licking something like a blanket is not necessarily a bad thing. However, my concern is more making sure that she is not swallowing the fur especially if it clumps as that could result in an obstruction. Good luck!

I’d consider having Micole examine by your Vet and some blood work done. Pica can be a sign of an underlying condition, deficiency or inflammatory bowel disease. I hope this helps!

You can try changing the litter material to see if she becomes less interested. Otherwise, you may change the litter box to a different place in the house. That may help. Best of luck!

Hi there. The only possible problem would be if your kitten has any intestinal parasites-then your dog could also get them if ingesting the feces. It is not uncommon for females of different species to show "mothering" instincts toward young. Hope this helps!

However, in the meantime while the behavior is occurring, I would recommend switching the type of litter or even consider spraying bitter apple onto the litter itself. I hope this helps!
