Why is my kitten acting weird and lethargic after being in the garage?

Poor Gibby! I know that it can be scary when our four legged friends aren't feeling well. Sudden lethargy and closed eyes could be due to a variety of issues, including head trauma (even falling from furniture), seizures, hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), exposure to toxins, among others. It is encouraging that he was willing to drink some milk. If he seems to be mentally appropriate, try offering him a bit of kitten food to see if he will eat or smear some corn syrup on his gums. If he perks up right after eating, Gibby may have experienced a sudden drop in his blood sugar. If he still seems "off", lethargic, closed eyes, not eating or acting normally, Gibby should go to his vet urgently for evaluation to try to get to the bottom of this issue. It's very difficult to know what his condition is, there could also be head trauma which is always an issue in this type of accident. if you believe he is lethargic, having trouble moving around or is lacking of appetite i would recommend taking him to the vet urgently.

That’s hard to say what’s going on with Blaze since he can’t talk and tell you how he feels. The fact that he growled at you could be significant for pain, exposure to drugs or extreme stress or anxiety. It does seem odd that he is just laying there with his eyes open. When pets behave abnormal, I always recommend to have them seen by the veterinarian to make sure that they are not in pain. I recommend to have Blaze seen by the veterinarian tonight ideally. The doctor will check his back, hips and bladder for any signs of pain. The doctor will also check his neurological reflexes for any abnormalities that could be related to drug exposure. The doctor may also recommend bloodwork to check his internal organs and make sure his kidneys are fine. I hope that it’s nothing serious and that he gets back to his regular self quickly. If he does, even if you can't find one right now I would be concerned that he suffered a bite of some kind, as cats can develop abscesses fairly easily when they suffer a trauma. I would be concerned by his behavior, as it does sound like there may be an underlying issue going on, such as an infection, GI upset, or an underlying medical issue (such as kidney disease or diabetes). If he doesn't perk up, start eating and getting some energy back, I would recommend he be evaluated by his regular veterinarian to determine the underlying cause for his change in behavior, have any necessary testing done (xrays, bloodwork) and start any treatment he may need to resolve it. However, it would be best to have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to examine him to see if he appears to be painful for example which could be a reason to become lethargic and less interactive. He could also be somewhat traumatized by that encounter which he could potentially eventually get over. However, I still think that he should be evaluated. Good luck and have a good night! Lethargy can be concerning and indicate a medical problem, but it's encouraging to know that he is eating and eliminating well. Sudden lethargy is not too concerning in a kitten unless you are noticing other signs of illness, heavy breathing, or pale gums. Kittens can normally appear very lethargic at certain times of the day. It would also depend on how long this has been going on. If it's less than two hours, then I wouldn't worry. If it's longer than four hours then I would be more concerned. If it's been all day, then this would be a strong indicator that something is wrong. I would have to examine butterscotch to tell if this is an emergency. I would definitely recommend an emergency visit he is breathing heavily, or has pale gums. Otherwise, he's likely OK to wait the night and go to the vet in the morning if he's still lethargic. Poor kitty! Your pet sounds like he needs to be hospitalized and properly diagnosed to find out the underlying cause of his illness. They will likely need to run some tests (bloodwork, x-rays, etc) in order to diagnose what's wrong. Whether that be an internal musculoskeletal injury, heart condition, stroke, etc. I am not sure what injections your pet was given, but it definitely doesn't seem like it is enough treatment for your very ill pet. He is in critical condition so I would advise to making him in right away! Best of luck with your kitty.
