If the dose of Gabapentin is so small, why is it only available in 100mg capsules? That means I have to break open the capsule and divide it into thirds for my cat!

Hi there. Dosing medication for our patients is often inconvenient, since most generic drugs are manufactured for human use (and human dosage ranges).
If your kitty needs an amount of gabapentin that is difficult to give accurately using 100 mg capules, I would suggest talking to your veterinarian about having it compounded into a liquid or flavored chew, that can be made into the correct dose for Trixie.
