My duck has a swollen foot. Is it bumblefoot? Do I need to separate?

Poor Lizzy! It would be best to remove her from the flock and thoroughly clean the foot and leg (as ducks love to get mud on their feet!) so you can check it for any visible injuries and wounds. If there are any wounds, keeping it clean and dry and using something such as Blu-kote can help while it heals. If you can't find any wounds, see swelling, or the foot looks badly infected, it would be best to have it checked out by a vet in person. Keeping Lizzy separate from the flock until she is healed can help prevent the rest of the birds from picking on her. Keeping her confined with easy access to food and water while you treat the foot can also help reduce any further irritation to it while it heals. However, if it isn't improving or seems broken/badly injured, vet care is needed.

I am sorry to hear about Prosha. While bumblefoot is definitely a possibility with any foot swelling in a bird, we usually see it on both feet. For this reason, I would be concerned about a possible injury (fracture even if swelling and bruising is present) or an infection or arthritis. This could be primary swelling and inflammation from that trauma or a secondary infection. Infections can be bacterial or viral (pox). Pox viruses are generally self limiting but secondary infections need to be controlled. A topical antibiotic can be applied in a thin layer. Keep environment clean. If lesion worsens, a veterinary visit is recommended. Good luck.

In comparison with the other feet, there is marked swelling. This could be due to infection/bumblefoot. Ideally, Cedric should be examined by your veterinarian to confirm infection and treated if indicated.

The swelling may be due to trauma, infection, a bite or sting, tumor or allergic reaction. Ideally, Susie should be physically examined by your veterinarian or a vet experienced in treating domestic fowl. She may need antibiotics, pain medication, antihistamines or even lancing. Any treatment will depend on her diagnosis.For now, keep her warm and as stress free as possible until she sees the vet. Make sure she is able to eat and drink as well, even if you have to syringe feed her water and food.

The feet look relatively normal from what I can see, however if you are noticing any major swelling, open visible wounds, or Coqui doesn't seem to want to stand on one or both feet, then it could indicate an infection. Soaking the feet in epsom salts and keeping them clean and dry with a clean washcloth can help resolve minor issues, however if the swelling worsens, the wound worsens, or Coqui seems very painful and isn't able to get around, vet care is needed. I saw you asked this question twice, so I'm reposting my answer for you to ensure you get it! It's possible Puddles could have an injury or infection of the foot. Ducks and other fowl can easily cut the bottoms of their food, leading to Bumblefoot, or a bacterial infection that causes pain, swelling, redness and inability to walk on the limb. Breaks or sprains in the leg can also cause a limp. Other issues such as nerve or muscular issues can also cause a limp. If the limp continues, or you see signs of infection such as swelling and redness, seeking veterinary care to have it treated is best.
