My cat has white spots near her butt. Could they be worms? What to do?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | 3 years and 4 months old | 5 lbs

While I was petting my cat I noticed some white spots coming out from her butt. Could it be worms and what medicine should i give her or any special home treatment?

It could be worms, however without a photo or more info it would be hard to say what type. Since dewormers affect different types of parasites, bringing a sample of the worms into your vet (or providing a photo) can help with identification so the right dewormer can be used.
