My cat is throwing up for 2 days, not eating, and tired. What to do?

This is a medical emergency and he has to see a vet now. Without seeing him in person, I can't say what is causing his symptoms so I can't say what medications he needs. I can say he is quite sick, and this cannot be treated at home. Please take him into a vet immediately.

Your cat really needs to be seen by a veterinarian for proper diagnosis and treatment. She is likely dehydrated from not eating or drinking well and will require subcutaneous or intravenous fluids. Because she hasn't been eating, she is also at risk of developing a condition called hepatic lipodosis. This disease is the most common cause of metabolic liver failure. At home encourage your cat to eat by offering highly palatable food, such as fish-flavored canned cat food or Stage 1 strained chicken or turkey baby food (no onions or garlic). If necessary, gently open her mouth and place a small amount of moist food on her tongue. Watch to see if she swallows it. If she does, place a couple more dollops of food on her tongue, then encourage her to eat a bit on her own.

I agree she sounds very sick, and it's extremely serious she cannot hold down water and will not eat. This is not something you can treat at home, you must take her into a vet now as this is a medical emergency. Please take her into an ER vet immediately.

It sounds as Snoozy is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Vomiting, not eating, and acting lethargic are always very concerning symptoms, especially since he's been sick for 2-3 days now and seems to be getting worse. Unfortunately, these are very vague symptoms that could be caused by almost any kind of illness, so it's hard to say what might be wrong without being able to examine him and run some tests. I do think that this sounds like a serious, potentially life-threatening problem that shouldn't wait until tomorrow, so I would recommend taking him to an emergency clinic today to be seen. If you're not sure where to go, try calling your regular vet's office - their voicemail message should have contact information for your nearest ER or an on-call doctor for emergencies.

Vomit is a symptoms usually referred to a problem located in the gastrointestinal system. It can be secondary to a dietary indiscretion. It could be caused by a stomach inflammation (gastritis) or if he is having soft feaces as well can be an upset of the whole gastrointestinal system. Pancreatitis might be another option and cannot be ruled out at this stage. Vomit can also be a secondary to systemic diseases (i.e. renal failure). If it's already 3 days and not improving I recommend a consultation with your veterinarian asap for a full health check. Bobo is not drinking therefore he might be dehydrated and possibly need hospitalization and fluidotherapy to restore the fluid losses.
